Mrs. Essien Bassey, a Mathematics instructor at Pegasus High School, Eket, Akwa Ibom State

Bassey who went with her understudy to the venue of the on-going 2016 Cowbellpedia Mathematics Television Quiz Show in Lagos clarified that arithmetic is a subject that requires a great deal of feelings with respect to the educator, and with respect to the understudies.

"I have discovered that Mathematics, similar to religion requires a great deal of feelings; and since I found this, I have changed my strategies. Presently I lecture Mathematics; I don't show it. The book of scriptures is brimming with anecdotes which Jesus used to show his lessons that seemed hard to his devotees. The anecdotes disentangle the stories and thusly associate with the feelings of the audience members. The same I do in my class and it is working," she told columnists outside the studio.

She kept up that Mathematics is an enthusiastic subject that ought to be educated with a great deal of conviction, to accomplish short and long haul targets.

"The transient objective is for the understudies to pick enough enthusiasm to pass the subject, while the long haul objective, for me is to change over the understudies to awesome mathematicians," Bassey who has been showing arithmetic for as far back as thirteen years, said.

Her understudy, Uwakmfom Utuk and Ademola Fatoke of Ota Total Academy, fit the bill for the semi-last in the Senior class.

In the Junior class, Oreofe Daniel of The Ambassador College, Ota, Ogun State and Micah Gabriel of Evangel College, Gombe, Gombe State fit the bill for the semi-finals. The team crushed Taofikat Tiamiyu of Scholars Universal Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State; Peter Atolagbe of Miracle International School, Osogbo, Osun State; Goodness Isang of Nigerian Turkish International School, Abuja; and Favor Anefu of Global Kids Academy, Sokoto, Sokoto State.

Utuk and Fatoke communicated certainty about their odds to exceed expectations in the finals and guaranteed to put in all endeavors to understand the fantasy of winning a definitive prize. The same assessment was re-resounded by Gabriel and Daniel. "I express gratitude toward God for the adventure as such, and I implore I am ready to do the needful to win the prize. This is my 2016 New Year determination and I supplicate God will help me," Daniel said.
